Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this observation is to find out the process of clearance in and clearance out of ships owned by PT. Dharma Lautan Utama at Dwikora Harbor, Pontianak. This observation uses qualitative data methods. The data collection method is divided into 4 parts, namely: direct observation method in the field, interview method or interviews with branch heads and staff or employees of PT. Dharma Lautan Utama Pontianak Branch, documentary method related to documents needed during the process of clearance in and clearance out of ships, literature study methods related to procedures for clearance in and clearance out of ships. From the results of observations it was concluded that in the clearance in and clearance out activities of the ship the outside service PT. Dharma Lautan Utama is required to carry out activities precisely and quickly. The procedure has been carried out properly. All activities have been organized to reduce errors when carrying out clearance in and clearance out of the ship. Keywords: Process, Clearance In, Clearance Out
