Abstract
With the increasing of motor vehicle volume, so use of overpass in Semarang is increase. Nowadays, the traffic problems in Semarang has become a complex issue. Those problems are often relate and impact to the disorder in traffic and it has become a habit of the city. Tendency to not obey the traffic rules and traffic signs often occur not only on motorists, but also pedestrians have a hand in a traffic violation. This research was to analize the use of overpass with the volume of motor vehicle. The research was conducted in front of SMP N 2 Semarang, Gayamsari Market and in front of ADA Majapahit market Semarang. The focus in this research is how many function of overpass for pedestrian. Results of the research are: Utilization of SMP 2 overpass, Gayamsari market and ADA Majapahit market at Majapahit street show that it still relatively low, that was 44.02% by SMP 2, 44.64% by Gayamsari Market and 48.7% by ADA Majapahit market. This shows the level of awareness of pedestrians to use the overpass is still relatively low. Pedestrians that not use the SMP 2 overpass, ADA Majapahit market and Gayamsari market at Majapahit street show relatively greater than the pedestrian that use the overpass, that was 55.98% by SMP 2, 55.36% by Gayamsari Market and 51.3% by ADA Majapahit market. It shows the level of awareness of pedestrians to use the overpass is still relatively low. Based on the multiple linear regression equation, the effect of number of 2 wheels vehicles and 4 wheels vehicles to user of overpass in SMP 2, Gayamsari market and ADA Majapahit market. On each location, obtained the average increasing of traffic was 100 vehicles and it could increase the user of overpass, with average of user was 4 persons. Based on a simple linear regression equation, the traffic volume has positive effect (the sign of regression is positive) and significant (t count> t table) to the overpass users.
