Abstract
The main topic of discussion in writing this paper is regarding the standardization of readiness before the ship can depart. There are several background problems that the author must solve, namely regarding some preparations before the ship departs, documents needed for ship departure, related parties, and obstacles that hinder the process of ship departure and also results. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out an in-depth description of the role of PT. Dharma Lautan Utama, Palembang Branch, especially in the field of ferry transportation services, which deals with Ro-Ro Ferry services at Tanjung Api-api Palembang Port. For the data used by the author using primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews with field operations and the head of the company. While secondary data obtained through books, archives, and other sources. The data collection method used is observation which sees directly the activities at the Port. The results of the discussion of this paper can be concluded that the company is engaged in sea transportation services where this company helps provide ferry services to support community needs.Keywords: system, handling, related parties, documents.
