Abstract
This research was conducted on the KM Mutiara Ferindo VII vessel at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. The objective of this study was to investigate the operational optimization of the vessel by optimizing cargo lashing variables, the role of human resources in supporting cargo handling activities, and the handling of vehicle cargo on board. The research employed both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data collection techniques included observation and interviews. The findings of the study indicate that lashing equipment should be appropriate for the vessel's conditions and cargo requirements. The role of human resources is crucial in ensuring smooth loading processes, the safety of cargo and vehicles, and operational efficiency of the RoRo vessel. In arranging cargo on a RoRo ship, factors that influence the process include the vessel's structural design, the positioning of cargo, and the spacing between vehicles Keyword: Optimization, Cargo, Lashing, Vehicles
