Abstract

Valve (valve) is one of the important devices in a system, one of which is in the piping section. It is this object that functions as a tool to regulate, control and direct the fluid flow rate by opening, closing or partially closing the fluid flow. Valves (valves) can be operated manually, valves can also be operated automatically using the principle of changing pressure flow, temperature etc. But the valve often gets damaged. This can cause material or dirt that enters the valve gap to experience corrosion or wear both on the bolt stem grooves and on the valve leaf. In practice in the field there are many causes of this damage and looking for solutions to overcome the damage to the valve. In overcoming the damage, you can check regularly and periodically so that the valve is more severe. The procedures to be used are: the description stage, the reduction stage and the selection stage. The results of this study are an explanation of the problems that occur to the valve, the result of damage to the valve, and a solution to repair the damage to the valve.
