Abstract

Abstract The main topic of discussion in this paper is regarding the loading and unloading process of the KM. KIRANA ship at the Semayang port. There are several background problems that the author must solve, namely regarding the procedure for loading vehicles on roro ships, obstacles during loading and unloading, documents used in loading vehicles. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out an in-depth description of the role of PT. Dharma Lautan Utama Balikpapan Branch, especially in the operational division which deals with loading and unloading at the port of Semayang, Balikpapan. For data sources used by the author using primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained through interviews, field observations, direct documentation with the company's Operational Division. While secondary data obtained through books, archives, and other sources. Data collection methods used are observation, documentation, interviews, and literature study. The results of the discussion of this paper is that it can be concluded that the company is engaged in ferry services with a very good fleet of loading and unloading processes with due regard to risks and careful supervision.
