Abstract
Boiler is a tool in the form of a closed vessel made of steel and is used to produce steam. Steam is obtained by heating a vessel filled with water with fuel. The water in the boiler is then heated by heat from the combustion of fuel (another heat source), resulting in heat transfer from the heat source to the water which causes the water to heat up or change form. become steam. The purpose of writing this paper is to improve the performance of the boiler and to carry out regular maintenance on the boiler to increase boiler efficiency and to optimize the maintenance of the auxiliary boiler system in auxiliary boilers. The method used by the author is the method of observation, interviews, document techniques and literature. Of the four methods the author found several problems with how to maintain the boiler regularly and how efforts were made to prevent damage to the boiler. From these results it can be concluded that it can be used as a guide to find out about all auxiliary aircraft that are on board very important functions, especially boilers which function to produce steam which is used to run auxiliary engines and other equipment that uses steam power.
