Abstract
Ship Global Inspection is a program activity carried out by Marine Surveyors with Supervision of the fulfillment of requirements. Ship Global Inspection is carried out by government officials who are authorized by the Directorate General of Sea Transportation and of course in accordance with convention provisions and provisions of laws and regulations. To carry out an assessment of a ship against its operating patterns with the aim of eliminating or minimizing risks. The surveyor is an independent and professional person to examine and identify facts, analyze facts based on knowledge and experience and record the results of the analysis and set forth in a written report. The basics to be considered by the surveyor are the requirements -ship requirements to be fit for use, identification procedures to be considered by surveyors, rules for conducting Global Inspection of ships, as well as matters that must be carried out during Global Inspection of Ships.The research method used in this study is a qualitative analysis method, the analysis used was obtained from various data collection techniques through various data collection techniques of interviews, document analysis, focused discussions, or observations that have been outlined in field notes (transcripts). Another form of data is qualitative data, namely images obtained through photography.The results of the study show that the Marine Surveyor works based on statutory regulations, one of which is the regulation of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, namely the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia No.14/M-DAG/PER/3/2006 which states that the definition of a survey is an inspection or research activity, recitation or testing and control over a specified object, whether in the form of goods or means of transportation, which includes elements of the vehicle, external condition, packaging or quality packaging, quantity, size, length, weight, contents and identification marks as well as predetermined requirements. suitable for use when everything is in accordance with the rules and the equipment remains in good condition and can be used safely in accordance with the provisions of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and carried out according to the procedures that have been planned.
