Abstract
The problems in the Vessel Document Extension Management Process are the limited operational staff/agencies, the lack of awareness of ship owners in equipping their ships with equipment that meets standards and the lack of professionalism of KSOP officers in offices in serving the community/ship agents. The purpose of this study is to explain the obstacles that occur in the process of processing ship document extensions by PT. SAMUDRA KARANA LINE SHIPPING SEMARNG BRANCH. This type of writing is a qualitative writing with a descriptive method. This writing was done at PT. PELAYARAN SAMUDRA KARANA LINE BRANCH SEMARANG from July 2022 to December 2022. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation studies. While the informants (resource persons) used as research were employees consisting of Operational Division/Agency, Internal Audit and Branch Heads of PT. SAMUDRA KARANA LINE SHIPPING BRANCH SEMARANG. The results of this paper are: The process of preparing the extension of the ship document begins with an agreement from both parties, namely the principal or ship owner and the ship's agency to produce a cooperation agreement. After the agreement is made, the hull begins to extend the expired ship documents and makes a letter of request at the KSOP regarding the extension of the ship documents, followed by an inspection from the marine inspector, after carrying out the inspection without delay, the KSOP will issue a New Document as soon as possible.
