Abstract
The activity of taking care of all the needs of the ship starting from the initial arrival of the ship, when it is in the port until the time of its departure. The purpose of this paper is to find out the handling and management of the arrival and departure of passenger ships by PT Dharma Lautan Utama, Palembang Branch. The method used in this paper is descriptive which was carried out for six months prada. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is collected by observing the research object and direct interviews at the research object, while secondary data is obtained from books, journals, as well as literature studies. Based on the results of the author's discussion, the handling and management of the arrival and departure of passenger ships is carried out by PT Dharma Lautan Utama Palembang Branch at the port of Tanjung Api-api. Broadly speaking, handling and managing the arrival and departure of passenger ships starts before the ship arrives, when the ship arrives (Clearance in) from preparation to implementation, before the ship departs (Clearance out) from preparation to implementation, when the ship departs, manufacture reports after the ship departs, and documents needed when handling the arrival and departure of ships and related agencies during activities at the port, as well as ship handling fees Keywords : Handling,Management,ships,Documents,Ports
