Abstract
Every ship by the shipping area must meet the requirements for ship seaworthiness. Syahbandar's way of fulfilling the ship's seaworthiness to carry out its duties and functions as executor in the area/field (Port state control) is the supervision of ship safety and sailing safety. Therefore, supervision is needed by a government agency called Kesyahbandaran. Cirebon Class II Port Authority and Harbormaster Office is a government agency under the Ministry of Transportation which is managed directly by the Directorate General of Sea Transportation. The Cirebon Class II Port Authority and Harbormaster Office are in charge of carrying out seaworthiness, and law enforcement in the field of safety and security in the field of shipping, coordinating activities at commercially operated ports. To obtain data, the authors use qualitative methods by way of direct observation and literature study to complete the writing. The author takes the topic of discussion regarding seaworthiness in handling sailing safety at the port authority office of class II Cirebon. The results of observations made by the author are to find out the technical procedures of Cirebon Class II Harbor Masters and Port Authority Offices in Supervising, the Role of Cirebon Class II Harbormasters Offices and Authority in Ensuring Sailing Safety, and Obstacles faced by Cirebon Class II Harbor Masters Office and Authority.
