Abstract
As a citizen of Indonesia, we have to be aware of the role of transport, traffic and road transport should be laid out in the national transportation system in an integrated manner in order to be able to realize the availability of transportation services that match the level of traffic and transport services are orderly, safe, convenient, fast, precise , orderly and smoothly so not a traffic accident on the highway. Development of traffic and road transport are laid out in a single integrated system, made with the integration and dynamics, elements consisting of a network of road transport, the vehicle and its driver, as well as regulations, procedures and methods are such that embodied the totality of the whole, powerful and effective. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of independent variables are characteristics of the rider, the rider's behavior, road conditions on the dependent variable, namely traffic accidents. In this study objects taken were motorcyclists northern coastal road districts Sayung, Demak district. Samples in this study were 100 respondents to the technique used is non-probability sampling technique by using quota sampling, which is a sampling technique to determine the sample of the population that have certain characteristics to the desired number. Model of research is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of research and analysis produced multiple linear equation: Y = 3.233 + 0.371 + 0.262 X1 + 0.176 X2 X3 + μ The results of multiple linear regression equation shows that there is a positive influence partially between the characteristics of motorists to traffic accidents (thitung 6.174> t table 1.985), the behavior of motorists to traffic accidents (thitung 4,333> t table 1.985), Condition of the road to traffic accidents (thitung 2.992> 1.985 t table). The influence of three variables, this study obtained by correlation values Adjusted R2 = 0.531. Simultaneously variable characteristics of the rider, the rider's behavior, road conditions, affects 53.1% of the safe driving behavior and 46.9% are influenced by the variables that were not detected in this study.
