Abstract
The role of sea transportation is quite large in shipping activities. One of them is in the field of ship agency, which serves as a representative of the principal in preparing all the needs of the ship while in port. And ship agency companies benefit from berthing services which in the future a bill will appear and will later be billed to the principal in the form of a final invoice. But in reality the disbursement process has been delayed. Based on the results of observations, the background of the problem was found that delays in making ship agency disbursement were caused by several factors starting from Pelindo being late in issuing notes, lack of human resources in operational activities, and operational parties who were less collective in storing proof of notes. The impacts are in the form of non-smooth company daily cash flow and material losses in the company. This observation aims to find out the solution so that the disbursement process is no longer delayed. In writing scientific papers, the writer uses a qualitative method, namely to develop an overview of the completion of disbursement. For the data used by the author using primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews with financial parties and heads of operations while secondary data was obtained through books, articles and other sources. The data collection method used is observation which sees and seeks information directly from sources involved in the process. The results of this observation can be concluded that efforts that can be made are collecting notes/invoices collectively, reconfirming them, and establishing good working relationships. The author's suggestion on the topic of the problems discussed is that it is hoped that PT. Samudera Makmur Agency evaluates so that there are no delays in making disbursements, and improves services that are already running well. Keywords : Ship Agency, Disbursement, Delay.
