Abstract
The main topic of discussion in writing this paper is about cargo ship services at Tanjung Perak Surabaya. There are several background problems that the author must solve, namely regarding ship agency services, documents needed, related parties, obstacles experienced and solutions to overcome obstacles in the process of ship service activities and the results of solving these problem solutions. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out an in-depth description of the role of PT. Viva Samudera Perkasa, especially in the field of ship agency services which is about cargo ship services at Tanjung Perak Surabaya. For the data used by the author using primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews with field operations and the head of the company. While secondary data obtained through books, archives, and other sources. The data collection method used is observation which sees directly the activities at the Port. The results of the discussion of this paper is that it can be concluded that the company is engaged in shipping agency services where this company helps provide ship services during loading or unloading activities at the port terminal.
