Abstract
PT. Pratama Expressindo Logistik is one of the companies engaged in Freight Forwading, especially in the field of exports, in a country, export activities have a very important role and are of course closely related to economic activities. Export itself is an international trade activity or trade between countries. This study aims to obtain a more in-depth description and understanding of how to handle export documents belonging to PT.Indobel Bamboo Merapi by a freight forwarding company, namely PT. Pratama Expressindo Logistik Semarang as well as knowing the parties involved in handling export documents and also the obstacles and problems in handling export documents. In this paper, the author uses a qualitative descriptive method while the data collection methods used are interviews, observations and literature related to exports. Based on the background of the problems that have been stated, obstacles were found in the export process, namely the difference between PEB and Invoice at the consignee and shipper agents, ships that often change schedules due to weather or ship engine constraints, as well as revisions to the final documented data. So it can be concluded that there are several factors that can affect the export process, including weather factors and human errors. Keywords: Procedure, Import, Fabric, Freight Forwader.
