Abstract

ETY 203 can run smoothly. Formulation of the above to be more selective, tiered and in accordance with the meaning, the authors use the Shel Application Theory method. By using a methods can find the cause of a problem that occurs and know the root of the problems that occur. Bearings on broken or worn ends, pump shafts are damaged and grease is poor. At the time of discussion of the problem, the idea arose as an attempt to solve the problems that occurred. The cause of the non-optimal work of the bilge pump was the decrease in suction which was initially 1.5 Mpa to 0.5 Mpa. Damage to the bilge pump is caused by several factors, including damaged bearings, lack of grease on the bearings which can affect other components that rub directly against the bearing. Considering that the bilge pump has an important role in the process of cleaning the engine room bilge, of course damage to the bilge pump will have an impact on the smooth cleaning of the engine room bilge. Always perform planned and scheduled maintenance in accordance with the written instruction manual instruction, to check and maintain on schedule.
