Abstract

General Service Pump (GS PUMP) is one of the requirements that must be met and must be present on a ship. The general service is divided into several parts, namely the Got System (Bilge System). Reply System (Ballast System). Fire Extinguishing System (Fire Main System) and sea water cooling system. The General Service Pump uses a centrifugal type pump, the principle of which is to convert the kinetic energy (speed) of the liquid into potential energy (dynamic) through an impeller that rotates in the casing to give speed to the liquid and convert it into high pressure (head). The purpose of this observation is to find out how to operate, as well as how to maintain and general service pump constraints. The method used in this observation is the observation method (observation). In addition to using this method the author also uses the interview method (interview). And also use the library method. General Service Pump (GS PUMP) aircraft maintenance conclusions include; Routine maintenance is a daily inspection of the equipment installed and in operational condition. Predictive maintenance is an act of observing an object by taking certain measurements. Preventive maintenance is maintenance work that is in the form of prevention and is carried out routinely according to a schedule aimed at increasing the reliability of the equipment and extending the life of the equipment. The results after carrying out routine maintenance on General Service Pump (GS PUMP) aircraft are expected to reduce the risk of damage to components and extend the service life of the General Service Pump (GS PUMP), which is useful for tackling marine pollution. Keywords: General Service Pump (GS PUMP), Maintenance, Operation and Resistance.
