Abstract

This time the maritime industry which moves in shipping industry is industry that solid regulations. Business activity maritime industry involving many stakeholders including flag state, ship owner, ship operator, coastal state, cargo owner, Shipyards, the crew of a ship and insurance. Besides solid , this is a dynamic regulations, susceptible to change in order to answer and adjust time progress and community demands. On the other side, the players in industry shipping especially the owner of a ship crucial shipping industry that is as fulcrum (pivotal point), in the series of the process spun business shipping financially. Moreover, the ship owner become a player who first exposed to risk due to changes in maritime regulations. The ship owner obliged to meet the maritime regulations that in accordance with the international maritime required with a view to keep maintain business activity in industry maritime. The purpose of this writing to know a risk management management process in maritime industry. The maritime regulations discussed a change regulations based on IMO that is mandatory on international convention (main major) includes SOLAS about safety on board, MARPOL relating to the environment and STCW relating to the crew of ship.
