Abstract
Ships play an important role in smooth and efficient sea transportation, including loading and unloading of containers. The issue of container loading and unloading procedures by Kantor Kesyahbandaran Otoritas dan Pelabuhan Kelas III Pulau Baai Bengkulu is very important to be paid attention to. Because the procedures for handling loading and unloading containers by Kantor Keyahbandaran Otoritas dan Pelabuhan Kelas III Pulau Baai Bengkulu are good but not optimal, this is due to the lack of loading and unloading aids. The purpose of this observation is to know the procedures for handling loading and unloading containers. By using qualitative methods and collecting observational data, interviews or library research that the authors collect, it can be concluded that loading goods from the pier/barge/truck or loading goods from the dock/barge/truck into the ship until it is arranged in the ship's hold using a crane. ship or ground crane. Loading and unloading activities are carried out at the port or loading and unloading terminal. The purpose of loading and unloading container activities is very important, namely to encourage the achievement of logistics integration nationally and evenly both in urban areas and in rural areas. In order to achieve logistics integration nationally, it is hoped that all logistics activities throughout Indonesia, both between regions and between islands, can operate effectively and efficiently and become a nationally integrated unit within the territory of the Indonesian state. The results from observations of land practices can be concluded that the loading and unloading handling procedures for containers by Kantor Kesyahbandaran Otoritas dan Pelabuhan Kelas III Pulau Baai Bengkulu, then loading and unloading activities must be supported by a clear and qualified process. With a clear and uncomplicated process, it can control the loading and unloading work method and system so that it takes place effectively and efficiently so that common goals can be realized.
