Abstract
The purpose of writing this final project is to obtain a deeper description and understanding of the problems encountered in the process of handling ship agency services in handling clearance in and clearance out which are increasingly broad and complex, so that improving proper and safe services is a shared responsibility and the process of handling ship agency services carried out by PT Bahtera Setia Semarang. The method used in writing this paper is descriptive analysis method, namely the existing data is described or explained verbally. The data used in writing this final project are primary data a nd secondary data. Primary data was collected through direct interviews with PT Bahtera Setia Semarang, while secondary data was obtained from books and other reading sources related to the subject matter taken, from observations based on any existing facts. The results of the paper can be concluded that the system of implementing the process of handling ship agency services carried out by PT Bahtera Setia Semarang, starting from the implementation system for the issuance of the Sailing Approval Letter, followed by the Agent for the management of other documents to support the activities of the documents used which include National Certificate (Certificate of Registry). As for the parties involved, including the Customs and Excise Port Authority, PT Pelindo Port Health, Immigration and PT Bahtera Setia Semarang, the author's suggestion is to improve services quickly and precisely in order to improve the performance of each agency, Keywords: agency, clearance in, clearance out,
