Abstract
Shipping is part of the means of sea transportation as mandated by Law No. 17 of 2008 to become a very strategic area for the national area as well as being a vital means that supports the goals of national unity and integrity. weather. Weather is the condition of the atmosphere at a certain time which changes from time to time or from time to time. The Maritime Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has an important role that must be considered, and as a benchmark for decision making in shipping. aims to find out what tools are used, how BMKG disseminates information to ships, and what obstacles are faced by BMKG in disseminating information related to shipping safety. The method used is a qualitative method by collecting data through observations, interviews, and literature studies. Results of the discussion This is accurate information so that it can assist the ship's crew in determining safe and secure shipping lanes and can anticipate incidents during sailing in the event of bad weather from one port to another properly.
