Abstract

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Branch Tanjung Wangi Banyuwangi as Badan Usaha Milik Negara engaged in logistics, especially management and port development which is must be implemented everyday, with this, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Branch Tanjung Wangi is required to provide facilities and services for visiting ship. One of services is provide pilotage services used for help the captain in carrying out the manuever of the ships in and out in area Tanjung Wangi port, ships with a gross tonnage of GT 500 or more that sail in waterd must be guide must used pilotage sevices. In carry out process pilotage found obstacle are a ships anchored in around watered Tanjung Wangi port, inaccurate ship arrival information and the unavailability of dock facilities for ships to dock because other ships were still occupied. This observation aims to determine the pilotage services of the ships according procedures at the Tanjung Wangi port. This observation used the method of observations, interviews and literature study. The results of this observaton are pilotage service in accordance with procedure in hep to cruise navigation can be implemented with safely, orderly, and smoothly for the safety of the ship and the environment.
