Abstract

The process of receiving and delivering containers is the work of receiving containers from the ship to the dock or sending the container from the dock into the ship until it is arranged in the ship's hold using a ship crane or ground crane. This activity is carried out specifically at the port of loading and unloading of goods. The purpose of receiving and delivering containers is very important in maintaining the security of the cargo being shipped. The Writing of this Paper aims to describe and describing the implementation of Receiving and Delivering Containers Process on the MV. MSC Panama at PT. Perusahaan Pelayaran Nusantara Panurjwan Semarang. The implementation of this observation uses a descriptive qualitative research that is by describing the implementation of the Administration Procedure for the Receiving and Shipping Container Process which is set out in the form of sentences and based on the results of observations in the field. Sources of data obtained are based on sources, activities and documents. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation so that conclusions can be drawn and analyzed. The results of observations made at PT. Perusahaan Pelayaran Nusantara Panurjwan Semarang Branch on the MSC Panama Ship in the Semarang Container Terminal (TPKS), the authors conclude that the Procedure for Receiving and Delivering Container Administration is in accordance with applicable regulations (administration and implementation) at PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Semarang. However, in observations, the authors found several obstacles related to technicalities in the field such as weather factors, equipment damage and discrepancies between realization in the field and the results of planning meetings. The advice given by the author is that the Terminal (TPKS) should optimize its facilities so that all loading and unloading activities can run smoothly. Keywords : Receiving, Delivering, Container
