Abstract
The port is one of the places used for berthing activities, berthing of ships, up and down passengers and also loading and unloading activities of ships equipped with shipping safety facilities and port support activities. The port is not only a national and international gateway, but also has a role in the process of consolidation and distribution of goods. This can be proven by the large number of ships that use port service facilities such as mooring services and dock services to carry out loading and unloading activities, the initial process before the barge docks must prepare the necessary documents before carrying out loading and unloading activities as for the procedures and mechanisms for loading and unloading activities. Care must be taken so as not to cause a problem that hinders the loading and unloading activities. The purpose of this observation is to find out the initial process of the barge anchoring and what documents are needed before carrying out loading and unloading activities and to know the procedures and mechanisms when carrying out loading and unloading activities so as not to cause an obstacle that can interfere with loading and unloading activities. While the method used in writing this paper is to carry out the activities of Observation, Interview, Documentation. The result of this observation is that knowing the procedures and mechanisms in carrying out unloading activities is very important in order to avoid small and large problems and also knowing what licensing documents must be prepared before the barge docks and before the unloading activity takes place.
