Abstract

Operation and maintenance of hydraulic crane machines as an effort to facilitate the loading and unloading process at MV. Eendracht. Crane is a deck machine on a ship that serves to move containers from the terminal to the ship or vice versa which is driven by a hydraulic engine. Cranes work by lifting heavy loads using a small drive with high pressure hydraulic oil media. For heavy equipment users, the hydraulic system makes loading and unloading productivity easier and more effective and efficient. The purpose of this observation is to find out how it operates. As well as how to maintain and cause damage to hydraulic cranes on board ships. This research uses descriptive and qualitative methods. Data was collected by means of interviews, documentation, observation, by observing when the authors carried out land practice. From the observations made by the author, it is known that MV. Eendracht has carried out the loading and unloading process using a hydraulic crane optimally. And to know how to operate, maintain and care. The results of the discussion of this scientific paper can be concluded, that the operation of hydraulic cranes is carried out according to procedures with regular maintenance so that they can function properly. As well as proper maintenance of the hydraulic crane can avoid damage and failure of the hydraulic crane system on board the ship. Keywords : Cranes, Hydraulic Systems, maintenance.
