Abstract

The shipyard winch is a tool that functions as a towing ship to enter the dock. Winch maintenance scheduling errors can cause delays in the docking of the ship and damage to the tool. The purpose of this writing is to find out the causes of disturbances in the electric winch, and maintenance, repairs to the electric winch. The writing method uses interviews, observations, documentation. The results of writing that was done when carrying out land practice at PT. DOK PANTAI LAMONGAN after applying grease to the shaft and replacing the main gear rotation of the winch rotation became good. The frequent occurrence of damage to the Electric Winch can be caused by worn out gears due to a lack of lubrication on the gears, the axles rotate imperfectly due to a lack of regular lubrication on the axles of the winch. The purpose of maintenance is part of carrying out preventive maintenance work which is carried out regularly based on time or refers to working hours, where after using the Electric Winch maintenance and maintenance of the Winch must be carried out.
