Abstract
Ramp door is a construction on a ship that is useful as a liaison between the ship and the dock so that it can be used to access the exit of vehicles or cargo to be transported by ships. The ramp door system is an important role to help facilitate the ship in loading and unloading, especially on the KMP.Siginjai ship which requires a relatively long time in the loading process. Meanwhile, the ship must have good and safe access to the exit of the ship for boarding and descending passengers, as well as in the process of unloading that occurs. The purpose of this study was to determine the damage that occurred to the ramp door and to find out how to carry out maintenance and repair of the right ramp door at KMP.Siginjai so that it could work optimally. The type of observation method that the author takes is in the form of interviews, library research, and direct observation. The results of the observations made by the author, it can be concluded that the maintenance and repairs that have been carried out on the ramp door cause more significant changes than before the maintenance and repairs were carried out. Can find out how to carry out maintenance on the ramp door properly and correctly and find out the damage that occurs due to delays in the process of rising and falling ramp doors.
