Abstract

In this study, we will discuss injector maintenance on the main engine in KM. Bahari 38 importance The injector serves to spray fuel into the combustion chamber. The injector has important components, namely Oring, Union nut, Guide pin, Holder, Nozzle. The injector sprays fuel from the injection pump into the cylinder with a certain pressure to atomize the fuel evenly. The injector pressure can be adjusted by changing the adjusting shim or by increasing or decreasing the rotation of the adjusting screw. In general, the function of the injector is to spray fuel into the cylinder as needed and atomize the fuel to distribute the fuel to get complete combustion. Spraying aims to ensure how much pressure the injector produces. The amount of pressure greatly affects the perfection of combustion and the form of spraying. The fuel, in this case, diesel, which has high pressure, flows after the injection pump through the oil passage to the oil pool at the bottom of the nozzle body. When the pressure spring is compressed and the nozzle needle is pushed up, the injection hole will open. At this time the fuel pressure will be sprayed into the combustion chamber. When the injection pump stops delivering fuel, the fuel pressure drops and the pressure spring returns the nozzle needle to its original position (closing the fuel line). Some of the fuel remaining between the nozzle needle and the nozzle body lubricates all components and returns to the over flow pipe. Keywords: Injector, Maintenance, How it Works.
