Abstract

Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death from various causes, ranking as the tenth cause of all deaths and the ninth leading contributor to global death. The incidence of traffic accidents is increasing in number and type with an estimated death rate of 5.1 million in 1990 to 8.4 million in 2020 or an increase of 65 percent. This study aims to determine whether Human Error behavior, road conditions and vehicle conditions affect traffic accidents. In this study, the object taken was along the Brigjen Sudiarto Semarang road. Sources of data collection are primary and secondary data. The sample of this research is 100 incidental sampling. The analytical method used is descriptive and quantitative analysis, namely multiple linear regression analysis including: validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, hypothesis testing through t-test. Based on this analysis, the following regression equation was obtained: Y = -0.979 +0,330X1+0,380X2+0,341X3+ µ It shows that based on empirical data (the results of filling out the questionnaire) the Human Error variabel (X1) has a positive influence on Traffic Accidents, where the value of t count is 4.419 > t tabel 1.6607. Variabel Road Condition (X2) has a positive influence on Traffic Accidents where the value of t count 4.878 > t tabel 1.6607. The Vehicle Condition Variabel (X3) has a positive influence on Traffic Accidents having a t-count value of 4.588 > t tabel of 1.6607. Thus the results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between Human error, Road Conditions and Vehicle Conditions on Traffic Accidents. Keywords: Human Error, Road Condition, Vehicle Condition, Traffic Accident.
