Abstract
Agency performance is one aspect of the assessment used by the company as a reference to measure how effective a company, especially shipping agents, is in carrying out their duties in the field or in the office, this is very important Considering that the shipping agent's work environment is in the port or dock area that is the object Domestic and international ship landings are nothing but a myriad of factors, facilities and infrastructure as well as natural geographical conditions that support the operations of Shipping Agents while at the port, it is very possible that some of these factors will reduce the performance of Shipping Agents so that the services provided are not optimal. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. with a population of 280 crew members of the ships that were managed by PT. Bahtera Adhiguna Branch Cilacap and taken a sample of 74 respondents. With non probability sampling and random sampling, data collection using questionnaires, data analysis techniques used were multiple regression analysis techniques including validity tests, tests reliability, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing. Based on this analysis, the following regression equation was obtained Y = 2.087 + 0.150 X1 + 0.361 X2 + 0.298 X3. The results of this study indicate that hypothesis testing using the t test shows that the three independent variables, namely pilot ship service (X1), loading and unloading productivity (X2), document management (X3), which have been studied have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, namely company performance ( Y) in the coefficient of determination test (R Square) the R Adjust Squert value of 0.629 means that 62.9% of the variation in the dependent variable of company performance can be explained by the independent variables of pilot ship service, loading and unloading productivity, document management. While the remaining 37.1% is explained by other reasons outside the variables studied. Keywords: pilot ship service, loading and unloading productivity, document management, company performance
