Abstract

Safe driving behavior is an effort made to minimize the level of danger and maximize safety, in order to create a safe condition, where we are at the point of not endangering other motorists and being aware of the possible dangers that can occur around us as well as an understanding of prevention and mitigation. In this study Safe Driving Behavior is influenced by several factors including: Understanding of Accidents, Driver Protective Equipment, Vehicle Conditions, and Human Factors. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS Version 25 application. The results of the t-test hypothesis testing showed that Accident Understanding, Driver Protective Equipment, Vehicle Conditions, and Human Factors had a positive and significant partial effect on Safe Driving Behavior. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the research model of the multiple linear regression equation resulted in the following equation: Y = -2,791 + 0,351.X1 + 0,321.X2 + 0,190.X3 + 0,354.X3+ µ From the equation results show that the Accident Understanding variable (X1) has (t count 4.260 > t table 1.98447), the Driver Protective Equipment variable (X2) has (t count 3.330 > t table 1.98447), the Vehicle Condition variable (X3) has (t count 2,036 > t table 1.98447 and the Human Factor variable (X4) has (t count 4.895 > t table variable for Driver Protective Equipment (X2) has (t count 3.330 > t table 1.98447). As for the value of Adjusted R2 = 0.589. This means 58.9% of the variation in the dependent variable (Y), namely Safe Driving Behavior is explained by the independent variable, namely Understanding Accidents, Driver Protective Equipment, Vehicle Conditions, and Human Factors.The remaining 100% - 58.9% = 41.1%, influenced by variables others outside of research.
