Abstract

Sea transportation plays a very important role for national transportation and national economic growth which will automatically increase the country's foreign exchange earnings. There are several factors that can make passengers have an interest in using sea transportation services and encourage passengers to buy and always be loyal to subscribe every time consumers travel, including the services provided by the company are very satisfying, excellent facilities to support passengers or consumers during the trip, as well as the comfort created by the ship's crew so that passengers feel safe and comfortable during the trip to their destination. This study aims to determine the effect of service, facilities, quality of information and comfort have a positive and significant effect on passenger interest in KM. Kelud destination batam-belawan. The population in this study was taken from KM. Kelud destination batam-belawan and the sample used in this study were 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is the type of incidental sampling technique. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, then the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS). The results of the hypothesis test indicate that the variables of service, facilities, information quality and convenience have a positive and significant effect on passenger interest in KM. Kelud destination batam-belawan. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained Y = 2.317 + 0.405 X1 + 0.235 X2 + 0.211 X3 + 0.334 X3 +µ . From this equation, it is known that the most dominant variable affecting passenger interest is the service variable with a regression coefficient of 0.405. The adjusted R Square test obtained a result of 0.599 or 59.9% which means that the passenger's interest in KM Kelud destination batam-belawan is influenced by variables of service, facilities, quality of information and convenience by 59.9% and other factors that affect passenger interest in KM Kelud for batam-belawan is 40.1%.
