Abstract
Transportation is the lifeblood with a very large role in supporting the wheels of national development. The function of transportation is basically as a liaison between separate points in space with various activities in it. This study aims to determine the effect of Human Error, Vehicle Condition, and Traffic Characteristics partially on Traffic Accidents on the Ngaliyan Semarang road. The population in this study was taken by the users of Ngaliyan Semarang road and the sample used in this study was 107 respondents. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with the type of sampling, namely Simple Random Sampling. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, then the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS). The results of the hypothesis test show that the Human Error, Vehicle Condition, and Traffic Characteristics variables have a partial effect on Traffic Accidents on the Ngaliyan Semarang road section. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained Y = 3.656 + 0.414X1 + 0.197X2 + 0.169X3+µ. From this equation, it is known that the most dominant variable affecting traffic accidents is the Human Error variable with a regression coefficient of 0.414. The R2 (R square) test obtained results of 0.541 or 54.1% which means that the Accident on the Jalan Ngaliyan Semarang road section is influenced by the Human Error, Vehicle Condition, and Traffic Characteristics variables, which are 54.1% and other factors that affect Traffic Accidents. Traffic on Jalan Ngaliyan Semarang road is 45.9%. Keywords: Human Error, Vehicle Condition, Traffic Characteristics, and Traffic Accident
