Abstract

Safety riding is an effort made to minimize the level of danger and maximize security, in order to create a safe condition, where we are at the point of not endangering other riders and being aware of possible dangers that can occur around us and understanding of prevention and mitigation. Therefore PT. Surya Transjaya Sentosa is committed to continuously improving safety riding for container truck drivers. However, driving safety does not always match the predetermined targets. Therefore, it is necessary to measure driving safety (safety riding) related to the driving period, vehicle condition and driving completeness. This research was carried out with the aim of knowing the effect of driving period, vehicle condition, driving equipment. Partially on safety riding at PT Surya Transjaya Sentosa. This study also aims to analyze the factors that have the most dominant influence on safety riding at PT Surya Transjaya Sentosa. This research was conducted by using a questionnaire method to the container truck drivers as many as 50 respondents. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The regression formulation in this study is as follows. Y=1.821+0.271X_1+0.193X_2+0.197X_3+0.186X_4+µ From the equation results show that the driving period variable (X1) has (t count 2,227 > t table 2,011), the Vehicle Condition variable (X2) has (t count 2,121 > t table 2,011), and the driving completeness variable (X3) has (t count) 5,289 > t table 2,011). As for the value of Adjusted R2 = 0.755. This means that 75.5% of the variation in the dependent variable (Y), namely Safety Riding is explained by the independent variables, namely Riding Period, Vehicle Condition and Riding Completeness. The remaining 100% - 75.5% = 24.5%, influenced by other variables outside the study. Keywords: Safety Riding, Driving Period, Vehicle Condition, and Driving Equipment.
