Abstract

Productivity, production power, or productivity is a term in production activities as a comparison between (output) and input (input). Productivity is a measure that states how well resources are managed and utilized to achieve optimal results. Productivity can be used as a measure of the success of an industry in producing goods or services. This study aims to determine the effect of loading and unloading speed, ship docking time, and utility tools partially on the productivity of at Tanjung Perak, Surabaya. This study also aims to analyze the factors that have the most dominant influence on the productivity of the Tanjung Perak Port. This study uses quantitative methods, the population in this study are field employees Tanjung Perak Branch who knows about loading and unloading activities as many as 84 respondents and the sample technique used is probability sampling with the type of sampling that is simple random sampling. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The regression formulation in this study is Y = 1,672 + 0,309 X1 + 0,335 X2 + 0,237 X3 + µ The results of multiple regression research indicate that there is a partial positive effect of loading and unloading speed on dock productivity (t count 2.790 > t table 1.99006), ship docking time on dock productivity (t count 2.739 > t table 1.99006) and tool utility on dock productivity ( t count 2.162 > t table 1.99006). From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable affecting the productivity of the dock is the loading and unloading speed variable with a regression coefficient of 0.335 and the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square = 0.532) means 53.2% while the rest (100%-53, 2% = 46.8%) influenced by other variables outside the study or outside the regression equation model.
