Abstract
Indonesia is an archipelagic country that cannot be separated from transportation infrastructure, namely ports. In the port environment, there are many activities that support the function and role of the port, including loading and unloading work activities. Loading and unloading activities with high operations cause various risks to the health and safety of the workforce. To reduce the risk of work accidents, things that can be done by loading and unloading workers (TKBM) at the Special Port of PLTU Rembang are by understanding the importance of worker health, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), worker behavior, and the work environment. The research population was taken from the TKBM for the Special Port of PLTU Rembang and the sample in this study was 80 respondents. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with the type of sampling that is saturated sampling. The method of analysis in this study is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, then the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results of the hypothesis test show that the variables of Occupational Health, Use of PPE, Worker Behavior, and the work environment have a positive and partially significant effect on the Safety of Loading and Unloading Workers at the Special Port of PLTU Rembang. The results of multiple linear regression analysis are obtained Y= -1.176+ 0.334X1+ 0.181X2 + 0.318X3 + 0.302X4+ . From the equation, it is known that the dominant variable affecting the safety of loading and unloading workers is the worker's health variable with a regression coefficient of 0.334. The R2 (R square) test obtained a result of (67%) which means that the Safety of Loading and Unloading Workers at the Special Port of PLTU Rembang is influenced by the variables of Workers' Health, Use of PPE, Worker Behavior, and the work environment, which is 67%.
