Abstract

Traffic accidents are one of the problems that almost occur throughout the world that require serious handling considering the losses they cause, if the problem of road accidents is not considered properly, it is feared that there will be an increase in the number of traffic accidents from year to year, the purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. With a population of all users or motorcyclists who crossBrigjenSudiarto Street, Semarang city and take a sample of 100 respondents. With non-probability sampling technique, incidental sampling, data collection using questionnaires, data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis technique including validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing. Based on the analysis, the regression equation is obtained as follows: Y = 2.120 + 0.326 X1 + 0.299 X2 + 0.197 X3 +µ, the correlation coefficient in this study is 0.698 where the value of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is 71.6%. Hypothesis testing using the t test shows that the three independent variables, namely vehicle conditions (X1), environmental conditions (X2), human error (X3) which have been studied have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, namely traffic accidents, on the coefficient of determination test (R Square ) Adjust R square value of 0.498 means that 49.8% of the variation in the dependent variable of traffic accidents can be explained by the independent variables of vehicle conditions, environmental conditions, andhuman error. While the remaining 50.2% is explained by other reasons outside the variables studied. Keywords: Vehicle Condition, Environmental Condition, Human Error, Traffic Accident
