Abstract
The safety of freight transport is an effort made to minimize the level of danger and maximize safety in driving, in order to create a condition, where we are at a point that does not endanger other motorists and are aware of possible dangers that can harm others . This study aims to determine the effect of driver compliance, vehicle condition, and road conditions on the safety of freight transportation on the streets of Waikabubak City. The population in this study were freight drivers and the sample used in this study was 94 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling incidental sampling type, then the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) Version 25. The regression formulation in this study is as follows: Y= 0.886 + 0.343 + 0.198 + 0.367 + µ From this equation, it is known that the most dominant variable affecting the safety of goods transportation is the vehicle condition variable with a regression coefficient of 0.367. The R2 (R square) test obtained a result of 0.592 or 59.2% which means that the safety of goods transportation is influenced by the driver's compliance variable, vehicle condition, and road conditions which is 59.2% and other factors that affect the safety of goods transportation on city roads. Waikabubak is 49.2%. Keywords: goods transportation safety, driver compliance, vehicle condition, road conditions
