Abstract
Shipping safety is very important and occupies a central position in all aspects of the shipping world. There are many factors that affect shipping safety, such as: the role of porters, ship's seaworthiness, safety equipment and the ISM Code, all of which are very important in determining shipping safety standards. In this study, four variables will be analyzed, namely the role of porters, ship's seaworthiness, safety equipment and ISM Code as independent variables that will affect the dependent variable, namely Shipping Safety. This study took the object at the UPP Class III Brondong Office. The sample in this study was 50 with multiple linear regression analysis techniques, namely: Y = 2.768 + 0.335X1 + 0.254X2 +0.118X3 + 0.014X4 + µ Based on the calculation of SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) version 25.0, a linear regression equation is obtained: where the variable Syahbandar's role (X1) in the partial test is calculated: the t count is 5,646 > t table is 2,014. which means that there is a positive and significant influence between the role of the harbormaster (X1) on shipping safety (Y). The t-count between the variables of Shipworthiness (X2) and Shipping Safety (Y) is 5,021 > t table is 2,014. this shows that there is a positive and partially significant influence between the two variables. Safety Equipment Variable (X3) with a t value of 3.174 > t table with a value of 2,014. which partially has a positive and significant effect on Shipping Safety (Y). Variable ISM Code (X4) with a t value of 0.323 > t table with a value of 2,014. which partially does not appear to have a positive and significant effect on Shipping Safety (Y).
