Abstract

Shipping waiting time is one of the problem that must be serious concern in every port around the world. As a company that serves port activity, off course, the ship serivce sector plays an important role in preparing everything so that everything goes according to plan. Activities in the port of sea transportation services that a large carrying capacity. Especially in loading and unload of goods. If the port’s performance is less than optimal, it will have a direct impact on services so that it will cause hight cost. Wich have a direct impact on the price of goods on the market. This study aims to determine the analysis of the factors that affect the length of waiting time for the ships at the port of tanjung wangi banyuwangi. Data will collected throught obeservation, literature study, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with SPSS V20 program. Based on the results of research and multiple linear regression analysis, the following equetion is generated. Y = 15.326 - 0,308 X1 - 0,220 X2 - 0,178 X3 - µ Where the variable waiting time for ships (Y), Productivity of loading and unloading variables (X1) has t-count (-5476) > t-table (1.9930), Document Service Variable (X2) has t-count (-3.599) > t-table (1.9930), and Pilotage (X3) has a t-count (-2.580) > t-table (1.9930). while for the Adjusted R Square value of 0.665 which means 66.5% of the ship waiting time variable can be explained by the loading and unloading productivity variables, document services, and pilotage services. While the remaining 33.5% is explained by other variables outside the three variables used in this study. Keyword : Loading and Unloading productivity, Document Service, Pilotage
