Abstract
The main discussion in this paper is about the process of Discharging dry bulk fertilizer on the KM ship. Bahtera Mega conducted by PT. Port of Indonesia (PELINDO) Lembar Branch. Some of the limitations of the problems raised in this study include: 1). How is the process of unloading dry bulk fertilizer carried out by PT. Indonesian Port (PELINDO) Lembar Branch. 2). What documents are needed, 3). Which parties are involved, and 4). What are the obstacles that arise and the anticipation/solution of the obstacles that arise. This study aims to determine how the process, documents, related parties as well as obstacles and anticipation of obstacles in the activity of Discharging dry bulk fertilizer on the KM ship. Bahtera Mega conducted by PT. Port of Indonesia (PELINDO) Lembar Branch. This type of research is qualitative, data collection is carried out by means of observation, interviews, and document analysis. The short conclusion from this research is that the process of Discharging dry bulk fertilizer includes three stages of activities, namely initial activities, administrative processes and planning of Discharging services and the process of Discharging cargo from ships to trucks, some of the documents needed include SPKBM, SPPBM, PKK, Manifest and others, related parties including shipping companies, shipping agents, goods owners, PT. Pelindo, and others. Some of the obstacles that arise include damage to ship cranes, damage to land cranes, damage to loading and unloading equipment, and weather. Anticipation and solutions to these obstacles, replacement of damaged equipment,. carry out equipment checks before starting activities, and delay unloading and closing the ship's hold in the event of rainy weather.
