Abstract
Replacement of ship crew is an important activity at PT. Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk Branch Panjang. This activity is the process of replacing the crew on the ship with a new crew who will work on the ship. There are several background problems that must be resolved in this paper, namely how the procedure in changing crew, what documents are used, what obstacles are faced, and what solutions will be done. PT. Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk Branch Panjang is engaged in ship guidance and delay service. The purpose of writing this paper is, To find out how the procedure in changing crew, what documents are needed, obstacles in changing crew, and how the solution will be taken by PT. Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk Branch Panjang related to the change of ship crew in. Based on data collection conducted during land practice, the author uses several methods including methods of observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the obstacles experienced by PT. Jasa Armada Indonesia Branch Panjang is the ship waiting list that has not been neat, the sudden request of the crew, filing using a filing cabinet and cardboard system. The solution will be carried out by PT. Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk Branch Panjang is to update the crew waiting list regularly, The crewing agency made a policy for PT. Jasa Armada Indonesia to request that the replacement crew be sent before the departure of the replacement crew, archive documents using a scan system and group soft files based on position. Thus PT. Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk Branch Panjang can improve the implementation of ship crew changes. Keywords: Replacement, Ship Crew
