Abstract
Nowadays, free trade is increasingly becoming an economic concept adopted by many countries, including Indonesia. One of them is an inexpensive means of transportation to support shipping goods by sea using containers. Thus, a port is needed as a connecting place between sea and land transportation modes. Along with the development of the area PT. Pelindo Lembar Branch Lombok built the Port of Lombok which provides loading and unloading services for containers. The loading and unloading process is very important for the smooth flow of goods at the port or terminal. The loading and unloading process can be achieved if it is supported by sophisticated equipment, sufficient fleet and adequate resources for the smooth flow of goods at the Lombok Port. The purpose of this research is to find out how the unloading process Load containers at the Pelindo Port, Lembar Branch, Lombok. In this case the method used is the Observation method by observing the loading and unloading process of containers and solving existing problems based on the phenomenon at the Lembar Port of Pelindo Lembar Branch, Lombok, where the service to containers currently shows a high graph, but this is not supported by loading and unloading equipment. modern ones such as Gentry Crane because the structure of the Lembar Harbor pier is not intended or cannot be used for the loading and unloading equipment. Loading and unloading equipments such as HMC (Harbour Mobile Crane) RS (Reach Stacker) (Fix Crane) RTG (Rubber Tyred gantry) has an important role for Sheet Terminal is in the process of loading and unloading but it is minimal and frequent HMC damage is always a problem. other than HMC which is a factor not The effectiveness of the loading and unloading process is TKBM (Unloading Workers) and Fleet or truck. TKBM is a partner who plays an important role in the process loading and unloading, they cannot be forced but the PBM (Company loading and unloading) must remind them to work properly according to what pre-agreed and the availability of the fleet also has an effect. With the availability of an adequate fleet to transport containers, the process loading and unloading at Lembar Port will run effectively and container flow will run smoothly.
