Abstract
The loading process is the activity of loading goods from the dock to the ship. In the activity of loading goods by PT. Pelindo Regional 1 Dumai Branch basically has a person as the party that provides services in terms of facilities and infrastructure for handling cargo. This writing aims to determine the process of loading containers from the dock to the MV ship. Victoria 82 by PT. Pelindo Regional 1 Dumai Branch. The method of data collection was carried out using direct observation methods, interviews at land practice sites, and documentation carried out at land practices. Based on observations, the main problems were found, namely the obstacles faced due to weather factors and the lack of loading equipment so that it hampered the smooth operation of the container loading process, the author recommends adding loading equipment such as trucks, spreaders and slings so that the quality of work can be completed according to the schedule determined Keywords: Handling of loading and unloading goods, documents and equipment
