Abstract

Trade in goods and services that occurs due to non-fulfillment of goods and services in a country, the activity of purchasing goods from abroad itself is called import activity, the reason a country buys goods from abroad or imports goods from abroad is because of lower prices or the inability of a country to produce itself. Import is one of the cross-border trade activities by buying or importing products from abroad into the customs area of a country, import can be defined as the activity of entering goods from one country (overseas) into the customs area of another country. This means that involving two countries in this case can be represented by the interests of the two companies between the two countries which are different and of course also different laws and regulations. In import activities themselves, either in document processing or in releasing imported goods, the importer does not work alone but is delegated to the EMKL for Ship Cargo Expedition or a freight forwarder who has the same duties in handling exported and imported goods. The definition of import is the activity of importing goods from outside the Indonesian territory or also known as the customs area into the Indonesian territory or within the customs area.
