Abstract
Tanjung Harapan Port as a passenger port managed by PT. Pelindo, which is located in Selatpanjang, Meranti Islands Regency, serves as a port that serves arrival, departure and transit activities for departing passengers. KSOP Class IV Selatpanjang, in accordance with the stipulation of Law No. 17 of 2008 concerning Syahbandah Shipping has the task of supervising the embarkation and debarkation of passengers, and considering that they are the rulers at the Port of Tanjung Harapan who must play an active role in maximizing their authority, especially in monitoring activities for passengers at the Port to create safety, security and order. The purpose of this paper is to determine the implementation of supervision of KSOP Class IV Selatpanjang to realize safety, security and orderliness of passengers at the Port of Tanjung Harapan and related parties and the obstacles faced by KSOP Class IV Selatpanjang in realizing safety, security and orderliness of passengers at the Port of Tanjung Harapan. The data collection method used is Observation by observing each supervision activity carried out by KSOP Class IV Selatpanjang, observing the obstacles that occur. Interview method, the interview was conducted with Mr. Nawai as the chief coordinator of Syahbandar at the Port of Tanjung Harapan. to find out the implementation of supervision of safety, security and order by KSOP Class IV Selatpanjang at Tanjung Harapan port.
