Abstract
The transportation sector has a very vital and strategic contribution to national development, because of its role as a driver and driver of development activities and as an adhesive for gaps between regions. The purpose of writing this work This article is written to find out and explain about the standard of safety equipment on the ferry in accordance with applicable regulations. As well as the condition of passenger safety equipment at KMP. Sebuku and know what to do in the maintenance of KMP safety equipment. Sebuku. The method used in writing the paper uses the method of observation, interviews, library research. In this case, collecting data in the form of observation data, as well as a collection of documentation and data related to safety equipment. Based on the results of the discussion, it has been obtained at KMP. Sebuku which operates at the Merak branch has not implemented safety on the ferry according to SOLAS and the condition of the passenger safety equipment on board is an important benchmark in supporting the level of safety and things that must be considered in periodic ship maintenance weekly, month, year in accordance with applicable regulation.
