Abstract
The main discussion in this paper is about the crew change process on the MT.Giat Armada 01 at PT. Kapal Mini Indonesia, Batam. There are several background problems that the author must solve, namely the crew change process, documents that must be owned by the ship's crew, the Sea Work Agreement between the company and the crew, as well as obstacles that occur and solutions that can be done to overcome these obstacles. PT. Kapal Mini Indonesia is a company that serves Ship Management, Chartering, and Third Party Management. The purpose of writing this paper is none other than the crew change process, knowing what documents the crew must have, knowing the Sea Work Agreement between the company and the crew, as well as knowing the obstacles that occur and the solutions that can be done to overcome these obstacles. Based on data collection that was carried out during land practice (Prada), the authors used several methods, namely observation, interviews, and document studies and literature studies. The result of the discussion of this paper is that the handling of the crew change process will run smoothly without a hitch if each party knows and can fulfill the requirements and procedures for crew change.
