Abstract

The implementation of Batik Solo Trans passenger transportation has a very important role for the activities of the wider community of the city of Surakarta, and therefore in the implementation of passenger transportation safety must be a top priority. The formulation of the problem, research objectives and hypotheses in this study is to analyze the effect of the independent variables, namely driver behavior, vehicle roadworthiness, and safety facilities on the dependent variable, namely passenger safety. In this study, th e object taken was the Batik Solo Trans driver. Data sources include primary and secondary data. The sample in this study were 100 respondents who were drivers of Batik Solo Trans Surakarta City. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression technique. Y = a - 0,076 X1 + 0,369 X2 + 0,447 X3 + µ The results of multiple regression research indicate that there is a partially positive effect of driver behavior on passenger safety (tcount -0,789 > ttable 1.98472), vehicle roadworthiness on passenger safety (tcount 4,428 > ttable 1,98472), and safety facilities on passenger safety (tcount 3,621 > ttable1.98472). From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable affecting passenger safety is the roadworthiness of the vehicle with a regression coefficient of 0.232 and the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square = 0.232) means 23.2% while the rest (100% - 23.2 % = 76.8%) influenced by other variables outside the study or outside the regression equation model. Keywords: Passenger Safety, Driver Behavior, Vehicle Roadworthiness, Safety Facilities
