Abstract

A traffic accident is an event on the road that is unexpected and unintentional involving a vehicle with or without other road users, resulting in human casualties or property loss. The problem of traffic accidents can be caused by several factors, namely the human factor as road users, either as drivers and road users in general. The level of public awareness of road users can be measured from the ability and absorption of loyal individuals and how they are applied on the highway Formulation of the problem, research objectives and hypotheses in this study is to analyze the effect of the independent variables, namely human error, vehicle conditions, road conditions on the dependent variable, namely traffic accidents. In this study, the object taken is the user of passenger transportation services in Manggar City, East Belitung Regency. Data sources include primary and secondary data. The sample in this study were 98 respondents who were users of passenger transportation services in Manggar City. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression technique. Y = 0.225 + 0.189X1 + 0.453X2 +0.307 X3 + µ The results of multiple regression research indicate that there is a partially positive effect of human error on traffic accidents (t count 2.380 > t table 1.985), vehicle conditions on traffic accidents (t count 4.108 > t table 1.985), and road conditions on traffic accidents. cross (t count 3,262 > t table 1,985). From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing traffic accidents is the condition of the vehicle with a regression coefficient of 0.635 and the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square = 0.635) means 63.5% while the rest (100%-63.5 % = 36.5%) influenced by other variables outside the study or outside the regression equation model. Keywords: Human Error, Traffic Accident, Road Condition, Vehicle Condition
